LOS ANGELES, CA — September 5, 2026 — Heavy metal legends ACCEPT have unleashed their massive 50th-anniversary release, Teutonic Titans 1976–2026, celebrating five decades of the band’s influential legacy. Among the album’s many high-profile collaborations is a powerful new version of the ACCEPT classic “Starlight,” featuring Joseph Michael, Phil Demmel, and Michael Cartellone, with Billy Sheehan. 

Michael — the current vocalist for SANCTUARY and frontman of WITHERFALL — delivers a commanding vocal performance on the track. Guitarist Phil Demmel brings his unmistakable guitar attack, while legendary drummer Michael Cartellone provides the rhythmic foundation. Sheehan’s bass completes an all-star lineup of veteran metal musicians. Originally appearing on ACCEPT’s landmark 1981 album Breaker, “Starlight” has remained a fan favorite for more than four decades. This new rendition preserves the spirit and power of the original while giving the song a fresh, modern metal edge.

Phil Demmel is one of modern metal’s most respected guitarists, best known for his influential work with MACHINE HEAD, Kerry King, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, LAMB OF GOD, OVERKILL, METAL ALLEGIANCE 

Michael Cartellone is best known for his work with LYNYRD SKYNYRD and DAMN YANKEES, Cartellone has also performed with ACCEPT, in addition to an extensive career as a session musician and touring drummer. 

BILLY SHEEHAN is a legend best know for his work with TALAS, DAVID LEE ROTH, MR. BIG, and THE WINERY DOGS. 

JOSEPH Michael’s appearance on “Starlight” arrives during an especially active period in his career. He currently serves as vocalist for SANCTUARY while continuing his work as frontman of WITHERFALL. SANCTUARY recently released “Not Of The Living,” the band’s first new material since the passing of legendary vocalist Warrel Dane. The track features a guest guitar solo from Michael’s WITHERFALL bandmate Jake Dreyer and marks a new chapter for the influential American metal band. 

Michael also continues to front WITHERFALL, whose latest album, Sounds Of The Forgotten, further established the band’s dark, progressive, and melodic approach to heavy metal, the album features acclaimed musicians Marco Minnemann and Anthony Crawford.

Dark melodic metal outfit WITHERFALL and Virginia-based ADROIT THEORY BREWING COMPANY have collaborated on a stunning new IPA called Shadows Black IPA. The team will premiere the Shadows Black IPA, featuring Kristian Wåhlin (King Diamond, The Black Dahlia Murder) at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 10th and 11th. Singer Joseph Michael will be pouring this unique libation for metal maniacs and craft beerologists alike. 

The Shadows Black IPA is hop-forward with a roasty finish. There’s a hint of umami on the mid-palette, smooth and somewhat heavy-bodied. It’s almost stout-like and pairs well with Korean bibimbap, grilled rushan (or mozzarella) cheese, a Punch Fu Manchu cigar, and your favorite WITHERFALL song. 

Notes the band’s Joseph Michael: “Anyone who even casually follows WITHERFALL knows that we love wine. In 2019, we partnered with Charlie & Echo to produce our Tempest Red Blend, and it has been a great success. However, we also love beer, especially craft ales. Beer is the go-to drink in my pre-show ritual. Wine and spirits have a much lower water-to-alcohol ratio and are not good for the type of gymnastic/schizophrenic vocal delivery that I utilize. I always drink one high-quality beer, starting exactly one hour before we hit the stage. Now, I’m proud to say we have partnered with ADROIT THEORY to bring you this awesome brew, the Shadows Black IPA! We also will have limited edition shirts that commemorate ADROIT THEORY Head Brewer Bryan Younger, who recently passed away.
